But have you considered becoming our friend? 🙏 Friends of Charlie Waller are those that donate regularly to the charity - be it £5 a month, £250 or somewhere in-between - and are one of the reasons why we are able to make the impact we do. We hear from two of our friends, Lucy and Sasha, on why they donate regularly to our cause. If you'd like to become a friend, find out more here: https://lnkd.in/etEyb2Gm

We're talking mental health.
About us
The Charlie Waller Trust was set up in 1997 in memory of Charlie Waller, a young man who took his own life whilst suffering from depression. The Trust raises awareness of depression and fights stigma, provides training to schools, universities, workplaces, GPs and nurses, and encourages those who may be depressed to seek help. The Trust also supports research and teaching in evidence-based therapies and sponsors a Chair in Evidence-based Psychological Treatments at the Charlie Waller Institute at the University of Reading. Our workplace training aims to support employers and line managers to tackle the stigma relating to mental ill health and create a healthy working environment, so that employees can perform at their best level: charliewaller.org/what-we-do/for-employers

In 2023, we delivered 31 webinars, which enabled us to support young people experiencing depression, perfectionism and much, much more. This is just another way we make an impact to those that need it most, and we hope our webinars continue to provide the same level of guidance and support as we launch series two (more on that coming later today... 😉). Did you know that music can have an impact on exercise and movement? 🎧 Listening to music is associated with increased enjoyment, and with providing a distraction from any feelings of discomfort during exercise. 🏋️♀️ This means we can keep exercising for longer or exercise more frequently to maximise its health benefits. So, it probably won't come as a shock 😱 when we say we've got a new Spotify playlist for Fitness & Mental Health...
